Review of Sioux City sarsaparilla

Turns out this does not have the disease SARS in it. Tastes good. Herby and sweet with a clean finish. 8 out of 10.

Review of Boylan's root beer

Now I am screwed. The complex flavors found in root beer are way beyond my glutton understanding. So I will not try to fool you too much and just say that I liked this but it was a bit sweet. 6 out of 10.

Review of Leninade

At least it's not Stalinade. Cool color. Cool bottle. Not bad drink. 5 out of 10.

Review of Capt'n Eli's Blueberry Pop

So much wrong where to start. First they call it pop. Even if they called it soda I wouldn't be happy. This stuff is basically juice. With fizzy water that's not actually carbonated. Don't get me wrong it tastes OK but so did the Parrot Punch; which I didn't review because they don't even call it pop or soda or anything like that. If you pick this up don't expect it to be a soda pop, it's not. 2 out of 10.

Nesbitt's Honey Lemonade

WHAT THE F? Why can't these guys put a proper seal on a bottle of soda? I think there was like two bubbles left in this stuff. Other then that... you can't taste the tiny amount of honey over all the HFCS and the lemonade was mediocre. 2 out of 10.

Review of Mundet Green Apple

Not too much difference from the regular stuff. It's green. Maybe a bit more acidic. I should PH test it some time. For now I will just drink it down while enjoying my tacos.
8 out of 10.

Review of Filbert's Banana

This ish is Bananas. B, a, n, a, n, a, s! I like fake 'nanners. 9 out of 10.

Review of Filbert's Watermelon

I do like this stuff, but I don't know if it's supposed to taste like real watermelon. Real watermelon is too light a flavor to be made artificially. The standard fake watermelon is always to sweet. This is OK. 4 out of 10.

Review of Waialua Mango

GROSS! This should only be used to deodorize your kitchen sink drain. 0 out of 1000.

Review of Dublin Dr. Pepper

I used to be take-it-or-leave-it about DP. Then I tried the heritage in a 20oz. I liked it. And if you know me you know I don't like plastic. Then I tried the heritage in a can. Good lord it just kept getting better. Now I have been to the mountain top and have tasted the promised land. Dublin in glass. This is the real deal. Now I know what Dr. Pepper tastes like. I still can't really describe it very well. I would hate to say it's a sweet spiced fruity drink; that is as close as I can get. And now I love it. 9 out of 10

What soda drinkers eat when there not drinking soda

One sip over the line

A buddy of mine once told me that the six pack was developed because six beers was the most a house wife would allow her husband to drink in one night. So why then do soft drinks so often come in six packs. Well I think Coke feels the same way that is why they make 8-packs.

Goldie locks...

If anyone comes across either the original small can(8oz) or a 24oz(I think these are from Japan) or any other odd/import can(empty or full) let me know.

ICE CREAM YOU SCREAM

I like floats. This one is made with Coca-cola

Review of Filbert's cherry

Yeah I will say it again. Cherry. Not that into it. Once and awhile I get a wild hare for it. I like it as an Ice Cream flavor. Or a hard candy. Which is why the people at Filbert's are getting me so stocked. It's hard candy with bubbles. I don't know if it's a Jolly Rancher or what but it's good. 8 out of 10

Review of Cheerwine

I will admit up front that me and cherry don't always see eye to eye. Even when I eat real cherries I prefer Rainer cherries. Anyway...I have to say the first thing that I noticed about this soda was the bubbles. Those things rocked! I felt like my tongue was in a jacuzzi. The flavor was ok; but I was half expecting it to taste like cough syrup. It wasn't even that strong of a cherry flavor. I did really enjoy the carbonation. 6 out of 10.

ALWAYS

Review of Frostie Orange

YUM! Once again Frostie. Just look at that happy dude. It makes me think he ventured out on a snowy day just to bring be an orange soda. Well it was worth it. Just enough sweet(even though it's not sugar), just enough acid. 8 out of 10.

Review of Jack Black's Blue Cream soda

Cool bottle(it's a stubie). But there is some weird chemical taste to this. Maybe just this bottle. Dunno. 2 out of 10.

SAVING LIVES

This fella lives inside the break room at a local ER. When your life is on the line you don't want Pepsi anywhere near your doctor.

PARTY!

Review of Dad's Blue Cream

Dad's. Did someone steal their father's soda recipes? Old fashioned. They had HFCS back in the good 'ole days? Blue cream. Yes. A little sweet for my taste. It finishes with a bit too much syrup on the pallet. 5 out of 10

Review of Frostie Blue Cream

Frostie is quickly becoming my new favorite bottler; from Detroit too. I don't know what Blue Cream is supposed to taste like, but I will now use this as the new standard. It's bright and tingly without being crisp. Up front you a greeted with a velvety kiss and you end it with a bit of bite. 8 out of 10.

Nesbitt's Orange

I was very bummed when I opened my first one to discover it was totally flat. I figured the plant had some problems with the caps that day. So I exchanged for a new one with a different date code. This one had a good seal and it had bubbles. Success! But then I noticed an off taste. It was metallic. I looked at the bottle and there it was some sort of gross residue on the mouth. It pretty much ruined the rest of my drinking experience. I don't know if this company has some issues with their bottling but I will being holding off from trying this again. 1 out of 10.

Jeff's Orange Dream Egg Cream

I really like egg creams and phosphates. And I never had one that was orange. There are a lot of orange cream flavors all of which I compare to a melted orange-creamsicle. This comes pretty close. I do wish it had sugar instead of HFCS, but thats not the focus of this blog. I don't know about other people but I can actually appreciate the flavor the phosphate gives a drink. If you like orange sodas and you like egg creams you will enjoy this beverage. 6.5 out of 10

Moxie Orange Cream

I have never tried a Moxie product. The dude on the front freaks me out. He is a little Orwellian. I like the name a lot and I have heard good things about the beverage maker, but there is just something about the dude. It's like he is scolding me for never having the moxie to try he product. It just became such a vicious cycle. So I grabbed the Orange Cream. It's good. I liked it... and I didn't feel like I was being judged while drinking it. 6 out of 10

The greatest invention

This is why you bring enough Coca-cola for everyone. It's called mutually assured self-refreshment. Remember the Cola Wars...Russia does

Reveiw of Mt. Dew Throwback

What can I say; yes this is a Pepsi product, yes it's rumored to make you sterile, yes it has more caffeine then one person could possibly need. Other then that, this drink gives me mixed feelings. I have a fondness for it, but at the same time it causes me great embarrassment; like a moped. Normal Dew is much too sweet and more acidic and it's carbonation can be painful. Throwback is a calmed down version of this X-treme drink. You can actually taste the OJ in throwback! I would give this 7 out of 10, but it's a Pepsi product so...-3.

I normally will not drink a diet soda, but

I liked this stuff...

but then again I like Bibicafe and instant espresso too

Nuff said

Thats what you get for endorsing Pepsi

Pepsi turns you into Jacko...

Mother knows best...

Of course she didn't give him a Pepsi...she know that would only have made things worse.
I read that originally it was going to be a Coke but Mike was talked out of it by ST's manager who was a Pepsi drinker...What could have been...

The politics of refreshment.

You may have heard that Coke in South America kills people, and so us North Americans should not drink it. Well...lucky for me I have never bought a Coke made in South America. Just Mexico. But I do like this Propaganda, I just pretend the dead guy was drinking a Pepsi.

Review of Crater Lake Soda Lemon Lime Bitter

Crater Lake Soda...Made right here in the northwest. Real sugar, clean water, no caffeine, it's kosher and gluten free. Well we have a problem. They use very little carbonation in a attempt to make the flavor stand out. In that way they succeeded. But in my book a soda has carbonation. With out that you soda tastes flat. Flat soda is not as good as one with bubbles. I will not be reviewing the other flavors made by Crater Lake. I am sure they taste good, but this is a soda blog, and they don't make what I consider to be a soda. 22.2 out of 1000.

Review of A J Stephans Lemon & Lime

It's called a tonic. And that is a good thing. It's like a tonic and lime made sweet, sweet love to a soda pop and this is it's baby. Clean sweetness, really good citrus pucker and the finish has that tonic bitter flavor which works very well in this mixture. Do you like 7up and Sprite beverages? Do you like ___ and tonics? Me too...8 out of 10.
